So, in this post I’m gonna share on how to make the filler flowers.. Do read

This is the materials that we need–>Coloured wires, plier, Q-dip, polystrene, and a round small cylinder (I used my lipstick here :p) Not shown in the picture-Floral tape and pearl beads.

The first step is to wrap the wire around the cylinder. If you want to make three petals flower, loop it three times as shown above. You can also loop it four or five times for more petals.

Secure the end with plier by making a knot. When you tie the knot, all loops must be joined at a point. Make sure that no sharp end sticking out to prevent injury.

After that, pry the loop open.

Start shaping it into a heart shape by pinching the centre of each petal.

Dip the outline of the filler flower into the chemical dip. You will get a thin layer of the crystal dip following exactly the outline of the petals.Do it slowly and carefully, like handling soap bubbles as the dip may break. Use thinner to dilute the dip chemical if it becomes thicker. The chemical becomes thicker when exposed to air for a long time.

Next, let the flower to dry out on the polystrene. You may also add glitters to the petals while the dip is still wet for glamourous touch. The picture above also shows the example of four petals flowers with different petals shape.

When the flower is totally dried, tidy the stalk using floral tape. It takes few hours for it to dry but usually I left it overnight.

Lastly, glue a pearl bead at the centre of the flower. You may also improvise  by using sequins or various beads in market.

These dip filler flower goes well with bigger dip flower. When they are combine together, they can be made into bunga telur and bunga dulang.

Bunga telur hanyalah penghias pelamin dan diberi kepada saudara-saudara dan kenalan yang menepung tawar dan merenjis..Ramai lebih berminat memberi cupcakes, kuih-muih ataupun cenderamata lain seperti sapu tangan, coklat dan sebagainya..Trend memberi ‘goody bag’ yang di isi dengan pelbagai barang juga semakin popular..

Padahal jika dikira kos sebiji cupcake atau mufin, 80 sen hingga RM1 sudah jauh melebihi harga sebiji telur 30 atau 35 sen. ‘Goody bag’ usah kiralah, menjangkau RM5 untuk satu. Jika seribu??? Untuk mereka yang ber’budget’ tinggi, tidak menjadi masalah..Tetapi untuk yang ber’budget’ rendah@ sederhana?

Alasan tidak memberi bunga telur–>Telur dan bekas telur mahal, membazir kalau merebus banyak yang pecah, telur rebus tidak tahan lama, dan tiada tempat atau orang yang sanggup tolong merebusnya. Beri telur tidak trendy ataupun ‘up-to-date’.

Sebenarnya..bunga telur tidaklah mahal..Malah jauh lebih murah ataupun sama harganya dengan cenderamata lain..Tetapi, kelebihan bunga telur terletak pada nilainya! Kita harus bangga mengamalkan tradisi nenek-moyang kita sejak berzaman.

Dan alangkah lebih manisnya jika bunga telur itu dibuat sendiri. Lebih bermakna kerana tetamu diberi sentuhan ikhlas tuan rumah.Kos  untuk menghasilkan bunga telur gubahan sendiri lebih murah berbanding membeli terus bunga telur di kedai-kedai. Barang untuk menghasilkannya juga mudah di dapati di kedai-kedai menjual barang hiasan perkahwinan.

Tentukan jenis gubahan bunga telur yang mahu dibuat. Buat atau beli  satu contoh dan kira jumlah bahan-bahan yang diperlukan untuk menghasilkan kuantiti yang diingini. Contoh, 100 kuntum.

Beli barang-barangnya secara borong. Jangan rambang mata dan ikut perancangan asal untuk elak pembaziran!

Sediakan alatan untuk membuat bunga telur tersebut. Antara barang-barang yang diperlukan ialah :

Gam, gunting, pembaris, pemotong dawai, pita pelilit bunga dan benang.

Menghasilkan bunga telur sendiri dapat memberikan kepuasan kepada tuan rumah dan pengantin selain menjimatkan.Gotong-royong boleh dilakukan bersama keluarga ataupun rakan-taulan. Bukankah lebih terasa suasana perkahwinan dan bermakna majlis itu nanti?

My sister requested ( ordering me actually :P ) for pink and green theme for the hantaran. At first, she wanted me to make bunga dulang using q-dip material but I opted for nylon stocking instead because it is only an engagement ceremony, not the big day yet. We save the best for last

I used two tone stockings to make the roses. Then I combined it with green stocking leaves, green glitter grass and dark pink flowers. Also, a bit of pink and green beads here and there.

This Sirih Junjung or Betel leaves arrangement is also done by me. Haha, looks more to flower arrangement since I used lots of flowers instead of the leaves!

Perhaps I should attend a class to improve.

Anyway, I turn this purple satin into two big flowers using newspapers and rubber bands. I tidied it up with pins and added ribbons to the centre core. Nothing much but still I like it best.

As for this praying mat/sejadah, I folded it into a fan. Simple and hassle free Time was a factor too due to my last- minute -work habit :P

The Ferrero Roche comes with a box therefore I simply put a ribbon on it and tadaa! :P My sister was a bit upset though because she wanted me to refashioned into grapes. Due to lack of material and my lazyness I didn’t do it.

However, this towel was really a headache for me. I’m running out of ideas on what to do with the towel and stayed up until 2 a.m but to no avail. Thank god next morning, on the engagement day itself I had a notion to turn the towel into this erm…fruits. Don’t ask me, I don’t even know what fruit is this. Maybe Pomelos?

And finally, my sister bought 7 of this cute glass containers for RM3.50 each. I decorated it with pink lace and white sequins. Inside, my sister wrapped chocolates and potpourris together in green cloth.

All in all, I am satisfied with my work although it is simple. Sometimes, simplicity is the best

The flowers are made from material coated with gold dust.

And the small flowers are made from gold chemical dip. With gold pearl beads at the centre.

The leaves are also made from green chemical dip.

At first I am really worried that the bunga telur won’t match with the dais..as i do not know the exact colour..

What a lovely dais!

The flowers are made from chemical dip. I used a combination of small 5 petals flowers with tiny 3 petals flowers.. At the centre of the flowers i put on pearls beads.

To finish up the arrangement i added cream ribbons.

I made this by combining small golden flowers with red one.  Add a bit of beads and gold ribbons.. Tadaa!!

The theme is red and white..so i made red bunga telor..with tiny white hearts and red beads..I used white and red ribbons too.To compliment the look

I’m not the one who decorated the dais ok. Though i wanted so much to do it! It is made of white pillars and fresh flowers. Red roses of course

The photographers for the wedding is my younger brother and his friend..They produced quite a beautiful pictures!

Well, the wedding was a succes..

This is the third time i became a bridesmaid..I hope i’ll be the bride one day.hihi

Well, all pictures below are taken from a relative’s engagement ceremony. The tray flowers are made by me using black and white nylon stockings..I added up pearl beads,black ribbons and silver leaves to the arrangement.

So,who says black and white is dull??
